These terms cover your use of Word Tower ("the app"). By using the app, you agree to them.
Word Tower is a vocabulary-learning game. Core gameplay is free. Extra plays, revives, and mid-question jokers can be unlocked by watching a rewarded ad, spending in-app "lightning"/star currency earned through play, or a one-time purchase (see "In-app purchases" below).
The app doesn't require a traditional account — sign-in happens automatically and anonymously in the background so features like the weekly leaderboard and referrals can work. You can optionally upgrade this to Sign in with Apple or Google in Settings, which links a stable identifier to your session (see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that does and doesn't include).
A display name you choose to set stays on your device by default. If you opt in to the leaderboard (Settings), it's shown to other players alongside your weekly standing — nothing else you enter is published or shared.
We have no subscriptions — every purchase is one-time, nothing auto-renews or auto-charges.
Lightning charges and stars earned through gameplay, referrals, or rewarded ads have no cash value, can't be exchanged for real money, transferred between accounts, or redeemed outside the app. We may adjust how currency is earned or spent in future updates to keep the game balanced.
Invite rewards are meant for genuine invitations to real people. We reserve the right to withhold or reclaim referral rewards obtained through fraud, self-referral, or abuse of the system.
Don't use the app to: - Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app to bypass purchases, ads, or the energy/currency system. - Automate gameplay (bots/scripts) to farm rewards or achievements. - Use the app for anything illegal or that infringes someone else's rights.
We may suspend access for accounts or devices that violate these terms.
We aim to keep the app running smoothly but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — features may change, and the app may be updated, modified, or (in the unlikely event we discontinue it) shut down with reasonable notice where required by law.
The app is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to keep content (including translations and example sentences) accurate, but don't guarantee it's error-free. Word Tower is a supplementary learning tool, not a substitute for formal language instruction or certification.
We may update these terms as the app evolves (e.g., when ads, IAP, or backend-based features ship). Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
